What is OC Political and what does it do?
OC Political is a UK political intelligence platform that combines seven government datasets in one searchable interface: the UK Parliament Register of Members' Financial Interests, the Electoral Commission donations register (91,000+ records since 2001), government contracts from Contracts Finder and Find a Tender, HM Land Registry, Companies House, and charity trustee records. It is the only platform that cross-references all of these sources , so you can search any MP, donor or company and see their complete financial and political picture instantly.
Can I search MPs' financial interests by company name?
Yes. The MP Interests Search (the 4th mode in the Political Intelligence tab) searches the full Register of Members' Financial Interests by keyword, company name or employer across all MPs. Results show every MP with a declared interest matching your search, the category, the value and the date. You can then click through to any MP's full profile to see their donations received and connected contracts.
How current is the data?
Electoral Commission donations and the Parliament Register of Interests are updated weekly. Government contracts (Contracts Finder, Find a Tender, PCS Scotland, Sell2Wales) are updated daily. Companies House data is updated daily. Land Registry data is refreshed monthly. Charity trustee data is refreshed monthly. All updates are automated , the data is always current without any manual intervention.
What is included in the 14-day free trial?

Does OC Political cover Scotland and Wales?
Yes. The Electoral Commission donations data covers both the GB and Northern Ireland registers. Government contracts include PCS Scotland (Public Contracts Scotland) and Sell2Wales alongside the UK-wide Contracts Finder and Find a Tender portals. Charity trustees cover the Charity Commission (England and Wales) and OSCR (Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator). The Parliament Register covers all UK MPs. Land Registry covers England and Wales (Scotland has a separate register which is not currently included).
How is OC Political different from searching gov.uk directly?
The government publishes this data across at least seven separate systems with no connections between them. To find what OC Political shows in seconds, you would need to manually cross-reference the Electoral Commission register, Parliament's website, four procurement portals, Companies House and Land Registry separately , and then manually identify connections between them. OC Political does all of this automatically, updated weekly, in a single interface. The cross-referencing , seeing that a company donated to a party, won government contracts and has MPs who declared an interest in it , is what makes it commercially valuable.
