Why does OC Corporate include charity records?
Charities are a significant part of the corporate landscape — many companies have charitable subsidiaries, charitable trusts or corporate trustee relationships. Including charity data in OC Corporate means that when you look up a company's directors, you also see their charity trusteeships — and when you look up a charity, you can see the corporate structure behind its trustees.
What are removed charity records and why do they matter?
Removed charity records are charities that have been deregistered, wound up, amalgamated or struck off. They matter for due diligence because a company director who was a trustee of a removed or failed charity may indicate risk that current records don't show. OC Corporate includes 180,000+ removed records alongside 350,000+ current registrations.
Can I find all charities a person is a trustee of?
Yes. Search the individual by name in the People Search and their charity trustee roles appear alongside company appointments — sourced from Charity Commission (E&W) and OSCR (Scotland).
Does this cover Northern Ireland charities?
Not currently. OC Corporate covers Charity Commission (England and Wales) and OSCR (Scotland). The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland is a separate register not currently included.
